The mission of the Marcum Foundation is to support causes and non-profit organizations providing critical assistance to those in need. This is an expression of Marcum’s commitment to support our communities both locally and nationally.

By linking the philanthropic activities of Marcum’s local offices under a national umbrella, and combining them with the generous support of like-minded companies, friends, and the general public, we are able to pool resources, enlarge our successes, and grow our contributions.

Contributions to causes are from funds raised through special events, collection drives, planned giving, volunteer initiatives and specially designated days of service.

  • Annual Marcum Day of Service – A paid day off, when all Marcum offices close for business, to enable the entire Marcum team to spend the day volunteering with local nonprofit organizations.
  • Philanthropy Fridays – The last Friday of each month, when associates are invited to make a voluntary contribution of $5 to a local charity nominated by an associate in each Marcum office.
  • Planned Giving – Voluntary paycheck withholdings by Marcum associates and partners as contributions to one or more designated charities in their region.

The Internal Revenue Service has determined the Marcum Foundation is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) and is a public charity as defined in section 509(a)(1).

Marcum Foundation Planned Giving Program

Charity beneficiaries of the Marcum Foundation are nominated by Marcum associates in each region. Funds are raised through special events, collection drives, volunteer initiatives and a planned giving program.

One of the core values at Marcum LLP is giving back to the community.

Through the Marcum Foundation planned giving program, Firm associates may elect to withhold a voluntary contribution from their paychecks, to benefit one or more designated charities in their region.
